Meetup's for December 08
As with every year December is a time when we take stock from the past and prepare for the future, this isn't only true of our lives but also of the meetup events as well. So it was that come Years end we slow down and relax, leave our speakers time to prepare for the season and just have some open group discourse.
On December 3rd the Orlando pagan meetup changed location to Panera Bread for the month until we start the new year at the Chinese Buffet, we called this event a time for reflection and change and as the theme of the talk decided to chat about the history of the western magick tradition, mainly the movers and shakers who culminated to the Golden Dawn were so many of today's leading personages have traced their roots.
I had thought the meetup would be only a handful of people but imagine my surprise when around twenty people descended on the outside patio and my equal surprise when a group of ladies calling themselves the Disney princesses also joined us for their own meetup! To say the evening was interesting is only a mild indication of what went on but I think everyone walked away with more than they arrived with.
Our other two meetup's joined with the pagan one to hold one other event for December, "Yule ritual in the park", a restricted public rtual that was over subscribed but was a very moving event, the circle and fire scry involved everyone and took from us what ever we could give and gave to us what we could take.
Next month looks to be an exciting time with a lot of fairie magick on the calendar, Katie Madden returns to introduce us to the "inner temple tradition" made famous by John and Caitlan Matthews and RJ Stewart, John Springer will be talking about taking spirit and fairy photos and our wonderful friend Torre' will return to explain the art of palmistry.
Tonight we end the year, as I write this the preparations have commenced, and start a new one as the hour chnages at midnight and we all wish to send blessings to each and everyone who read and support us in spreading this love and light we call magick :)
